BABBITT TO TOUR LAS VEGAS WASH WITH SENS. REID, BRYAN

Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt will tour the Las Vegas Wash by air and on the ground Monday with U.S. Senators Richard Bryan and Harry Reid to discuss ways to improve water quality. Later, Babbitt and the Senators will participate in a meeting at Lake Mead with a group of local experts to discuss the issues surrounding Las Vegas Wash and Lake Mead.

The meeting on water quality issues will begin at 3:00 pm PST on Monday, March 29, 1999 at the Lake Mead Ferry Landing, Landing Room and is open to media.
