Three top officials will brief media on
administration views of pending congressional action

Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt, Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman, and Kathleen McGinty, chair of the Council on Environmental Quality, will brief the media on Oct. 1 on the administration's views of attempts in Congress to roll back enviromental protections through amendments to spending bills and omnibus legislation on parks and public lands.
