Interior Secretary Norton Praises President Bush's
New Department of Homeland Security

"I fully support the president's proposal to create a new Department of Homeland Security. It will help the Interior Department better protect our border lands and border communities. The new department will also support our on-going efforts to ensure the safety of our waterways and dams, and the people who visit and manage our greatest national treasures," Interior Secretary Gale Norton said.
