Interior Department's Office of Hearings and Appeals to Get Address Change The Department of the Interior's Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA) is relocating its headquarters office, effective February 11, 2002. The new address will be Office of Hearings and Appeals, U.S. Department of the Interior, 801 N. Quincy St., Suite 300, Arlington, Virginia 22203. OHA's telephone and telefax numbers will remain the same. The OHA headquarters office includes the Director's Office, Interior Board of Contract Appeals, Interior Board of Indian Appeals, Interior Board of Land Appeals, Administrative Division, and the headquarters component of the Hearings Division. The Hearing Division also has nine field offices throughout the country. OHA handles administrative appeals from decisions of the Department's bureaus and offices, primarily decisions of contracting officers throughout the Department and programmatic decisions of bureaus such as the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Land Management, Minerals Management Services, and Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement. The new location is across Quincy Street from OHA's present location in the Ballston area, where OHA's headquarters office has been since 1970. The move was necessitated by the expiration of OHA's lease. - DOI -
