INTERIOR DEPARTMENT ROLLS OUT FY 2002 BUDGET ON MONDAY Secretary Norton showcases record conservation, recreation budgets for states, major investment in Indian education and elimination of critical backlog in National Parks The Department of the Interior will hold a briefing on the Fiscal Year 2002 budget request on Monday, April 9, at 1:00 p.m. Secretary of the Interior Gale Norton will cover highlights of the budget and, following the main presentation, each of Interior's bureaus will provide separate information on specific aspects of their budgets. The briefing and follow-up will be held in the Yates Auditorium at the Department of the Interior, 1849 C Street NW, in Washington, D.C. Printed copies of a more detailed "Interior Budget in Brief" will be available to all media attending the budget briefing or by special arrangement after the press conference is concluded.
