Babbitt Will Visit Montana to Discuss
Management of the Missouri Breaks Area

Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt will visit Montana on May 2-3, 2000 to continue his meetings with local officials and the public about the future management of the Missouri Breaks region of the Missouri River.

As part of his trip, Babbitt will host a public meeting in Great Falls on the evening of May 2 at which members of the public are invited to attend and speak. The time of individual speakers may be limited in order to permit the greatest numbers of people to speak.

"I promised that I would return and continue our discussion on how to best manage the Missouri Breaks," said Babbitt. "I look forward to working with you to recognize the great qualities of this spectacular and unique area, and ensure that it receives the protection and care that it deserves."
