"As we prepare to celebrate Earth Day, it is appropriate to visit Craters of the Moon" said Babbitt. "This year is not only the 30th anniversary of Earth Day, it is also the 30th anniversary of the first designation of a wilderness area inside a National Park Service unit. And that first wilderness area created back then was in Craters of the Moon."
