GENERAL COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS DEFERRAL OF QUESTION OF COMORIAN ISLAND
OF MAYOTTE TO GENERAL ASSEMBLY’S FIFTY-NINTH SESSION
The General Committee this morning decided to recommend the deferral of the consideration of the question of the Comorian Island of Mayotte to the fifty-ninth session of the General Assemly, as proposed by the representative of Gabon and supported by the representative of Luxembourg.�
At its first meeting on 17 September, the General Committee had decided to defer to a later date consideration of this item.
The General Assembly will consider the report of the General Committee on today’s action at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 10 November.
