SECRETARY-GENERAL EXPRESSES GRIEF AT SENEGAL FERRY DISASTER

The Secretary-General is deeply saddened by the news that hundreds of people are feared drowned after a Senegalese passenger ferry capsized off the coast of the Gambia in a violent storm.� He expresses his heartfelt condolences to the Government, families and friends of the victims.
