SECRETARY-GENERAL NAMES LENA SUNDH (SWEDEN) DEPUTY SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE
FOR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
The Secretary-General has appointed Lena Sundh of Sweden as his Deputy Special Representative for the Democratic Republic of the Congo.� Ms. Sundh has a distinguished career in the diplomatic service of her country where she has specialized in United Nations and African issues, and was Ambassador of Sweden to Angola from 1996 to 2000.� She has most recently served as Director at the Department of African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sweden.�
Ms. Sundh will assume her functions before the end of this month.
