PRESS STATEMENT ON DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO BY SECURITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT
The following press statement by Security Council President Martin Belinga-
Eboutou (Cameroon) was delivered on 15 October:
Council members heard a presentation by the Secretariat on the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.� The Council is very concerned about the deterioration of the situation in the eastern part of that country.� The Council intends within the next few days to adopt a presidential statement on this question, which will include information on the main lines of action that it plans to advocate.
