In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for July:
Security Council
Jeremy Greenstock, Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom, succeeds Mikhail Wehbe, Permanent Representative of Syria, as President of the Security Council.
Military Staff Committee
Major General Chen Feng (China) succeeds Lieutenant General George W. Casey (United States) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
