In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for June:
Security Council
Mikhail Wehbe, Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic, succeeds Kishore Mahbubani, Permanent Representative of Singapore, as President of the Security Council.
Military Staff Committee
Lieutenant General George W. Casey (United States) succeeds Air Vice Marshall John H. Thompson (United Kingdom) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
