PRESS STATEMENT ON SIERRA LEONE BY PRESIDENT OF SECURITY COUNCIL
Following is today’s press statement on Sierra Leone by the President of the Security Council, Kishore Mahbubani (Singapore):
Members of the Council welcomed the peaceful conduct of the Sierra Leone presidential and parliamentary elections yesterday.� They also noted the role of the United Kingdom and the United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) in bringing this about.
