Wang Yingfan (China) succeeds Anwarul Karim Chowdhury (Bangladesh) as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Air Vice Marshall John H. Thompson (United Kingdom) succeeds Lieutenant General Anatoly Meleshkov (Russian Federation) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
