SECURITY COUNCIL HOLDS PRIVATE MEETING ON SITUATION IN EAST TIMOR 20000919The following is the text of the official communiqué of the 4198th meeting of the Security Council, which was held in private in the Council Chamber today at Headquarters: The Security Council met in private at its 4198th meeting, held on 19 September, in connection with the item entitled “The situation in East Timor”, for the purpose of a briefing by the Government of Indonesia. The President extended an invitation in accordance with the relevant provision of the Charter and rule 37 of the Council’s provisional rules of procedure to Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Special Envoy of the Government of Indonesia, Coordinating Minister for Political, Social and Security Affairs.
