NEW CHAIRMEN OF UNITED NATIONS SECURITY BODIES IN MARCH

In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the new Chairmen of the United Nations security bodies for March:

Security Council

Anwarul Karim Chowdhury (Bangladesh) succeeds Arnoldo Manuel Listre (Argentina) as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Lieutenant-General Anatoly I. Meleshkov (Russian Federation) succeeds Major General Jean-Francois Louvion (France) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
