SECRETARY-GENERAL EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO GOVERNMENT OF SUDAN AND FAMILIES OF AIRPLANE CRASH VICTIMS 19980212The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for Secretary- General Kofi Annan:The Secretary-General was deeply saddened to learn of the death, in an airplane crash on 12 February, of several high government officials, including the First Vice-President of the Sudan, Al-Zubeir Mohammad Saleh.
