SECRETARY-GENERAL EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER POLITICAL STALEMATE IN TAJIKISTAN 19980119The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for Secretary- General Kofi Annan:The Secretary-General views with concern the current political stalemate between the Government of Tajikistan and the United Tajik Opposition, which appears to have deepened in recent days.
