BUREAU OF PALESTINIAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE WELCOMES RESUMPTION OF PEACE NEGOTIATIONS 19960910Following is the text of the statement issued yesterday, 9 September, by the Bureau of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People:The Bureau of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People wishes to express its satisfaction at the resumption on 4 September, at Beit Hanoun, Gaza Strip, of the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations. The Bureau welcomes the meeting between the President of the Palestinian Authority, Yasser Arafat, and the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, as an important step towards the full implementation of the agreements already reached between the two sides. The Bureau also hopes that the meeting will clear the way for the continuation of substantive discussions on matters pertaining to the permanent status. The Bureau reiterates the Committee's strong support for the current peace process, and its determination to spare no effort in promoting the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including the right to self- determination and statehood. * *** *
