
Kansas City Receiving 180 New Residents Per Day, Says Census Bureau 11/14/2003
From: Stephen Buckner of the U.S. Census Bureau, 301-763-3691 News Advisory: -- Census Bureau Officials Highlight American Community Survey Results on Migration, Education, Income and Housing What: The U.S. Census Bureau will hold a news conference to highlight new American Community Survey data showing that more than 180 people move into the Kansas City metro area each day. According to the survey, Johnson County is among the counties with the highest percentage of high school graduates in the nation. Other data will show the percentage of college graduates, income and housing values in Kansas and areas of 250,000 population or more within the state, including: The Kansas City, Mo.-Kan., and Wichita, Kan., metropolitan statistical areas Kansas City, Mo., and Wichita, Kan., as well as Johnson and Sedgwick counties in Kansas and Jackson County, Mo.
