News Advisory:

On Monday, Aug. 25, most kids in America go back to school. That morning, national education and law enforcement leaders will release the results of a major new survey of working mothers.

The poll shows:

-- As their kids head back to school, working mothers' greatest concern is crime and risky behavior-even more than the quality of education.

-- When do they think their kids are at greatest risk? The hours after school lets out and before they get home from work.

Interviews available with several nationally recognized law enforcement leaders and experts in what works to keep kids and communities safe.

The poll was conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling and Research for Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, a national anti-crime organization of more than 2,000 police chiefs, sheriffs and prosecutors.
