The Women in the Economy (WIE) project of the National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA) will host a briefing on Capitol Hill Wednesday to discuss ways the 108th Congress could reform employee benefits to more adequately reflect the needs of women and most working households. Ideas to be discussed include:

-- Making health insurance portable, so that people who switch jobs or move in and out of the labor market can take their insurance with them. -- Making retirement benefits portable, so that employees can enroll in a sound retirement plan and stay there when they switch jobs or move in and out of the labor market. -- Liberating small business, so entrepreneurs can start and grow businesses, including home-based businesses.
