In honor of national Children's Health Month, EPA Administrator Christie Whitman and John Kirkwood, president and CEO of the American Lung Association will announce the Asthma Research Strategy, a new initiative to advance the scientific understanding and prevention of asthma, the most common chronic childhood illness.

WHERE: The Green Room 3rd floor, Ariel Rios North Building at EPA's headquarters, 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. (Metro exit for blue/orange lines is Federal Triangle. As you exit the metro escalator go right into the building entrance.)
