Sen. Dodd will be delivering the Keynote Presentation, "A View from Capitol Hill" on Thursday morning, March 7 during the 8 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. Plenary Session of the Conference. This will take place at Washington, D.C.'s Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. Sen. Dodd will address several of the important issues facing children, youth, and families. As Chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, Senator Dodd had brought to Congress much-needed attention to issues such as child abuse, child care, Head Start, maternal and child health, youth development, and other child welfare issues. Established in 1920, CWLA has nearly 1,200 public and voluntary member agencies that provide direct services to abused, neglected, abandoned, and otherwise vulnerable children and their families.
