There will be a reception at 6 p.m., followed by the program from 7 to 8 p.m. Where: National Press Club, 529 14th St., NW, Washington, D.C. Background: Members of the press are invited to attend an informative and entertaining evening with William Raspberry as he discusses current social policy issues and insights from more than 40 years as a journalist. Raspberry is Knight Professor of the practice of journalism and public policy studies at the Sanford Institute's DeWitt Wallace Center for Communications and Journalism and Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist for The Washington Post. Raspberry will be interviewed by Susan Tifft, Eugene C. Patterson Professor of the practice of journalism and public policy studies at the DeWitt Wallace Center and co-author of the award-winning book, The Trust: The Private and Powerful Family Behind The New York Times.
