This unprecedented program, hosted by Dr. Fred Goodwin, will air on The Infinite Mind, public radio's most honored and listened to health and science series, produced by the Peabody Award-winning Lichtenstein Creative Media. Joining host Dr. Fred Goodwin on stage is actress Carrie Fisher ("Star Wars," "When Harry Met Sally,"), to read from and discuss her new novel, "The Best Awful"; the casts of the smash Broadway hits Wicked, Avenue Q and Wonderful Town, performing as part of "The Musical Mind on Broadway." Noted journalist John Hockenberry offers live commentary and correspondent Mike Wallace introduces the program. Leading mental health policymakers and scientists will discuss new federal efforts to transform the nation's mental health care system as well as cutting-edge research on bipolar disorder.
