News Advisory:

Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham and Russian Minister of Atomic Energy Alexandr Rumyantsev will sign a joint statement on Russian fuel return on Friday, Nov. 7. The statement involves returning Russian-origin high-enriched uranium (HEU) research reactor fuel back to Russia. The Secretary and the Minister will give remarks and sign the statement before taking questions from the press.

Friday's event continues Secretary Abraham and Minister Rumyantsev's ongoing efforts to reduce weapons of mass destruction proliferation and concludes Minister Rumyantsev's four day visit to the U.S.
