On Monday, April 8, Diane Stuart, director of the Office of Justice Programs' Violence Against Women Office (VAWO), will keynote the Violence Against Women Symposium sponsored by the Institute for Violence Research and Prevention at Saint Joseph's University.

Following the address VAWO staff will discuss Violence Against Women Act funding and resources. The Institute for Violence Research and Prevention brings an interdisciplinary approach to the study of violence and explores causes and possible solutions to prevent violent acts against women.
