31st Annual Rally and March for Life Set for Jan. 22; President Bush Will Address March for Life by Phone

WASHINGTON, Jan. 21 -- "The 31st annual March for Life begins at noon, Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004," announced Nellie Gray, president, March for Life Fund. She said that thousands of pro-life Americans will rally at the Ellipse for a program, and then March for Life along Constitution Avenue to the Supreme Court and Congress.

"This March for Life is a peaceful demonstration -- an annual reminder to all of Washington officialdom that it must overturn the Supreme Court's infamous Roe vs. Wade decision, which decriminalized the intentional killing of a preborn human. The Supreme Court cannot, and did not, legalize the killing of preborns. But Roe vs. Wade did unleash on our beloved country the feminists/abortionists' evil agenda of 'choice' to kill preborn humans, and did begin the slippery slope to decriminalize infanticide, euthanasia, assisted suicide, fetal research, and more evil. History records the Nazi experience of slippery slope from the so-called 1935 Nuremberg laws, through years of 'final solution' horrors, to reality of judgments at the Nuremberg Trials," Gray said.

"President Bush will address the Rally by phone," she said. "We pledge support to stop this home-grown terrorism of individuals and governments participating in the intentional killing of an estimated 4,000 preborn children each day."

It is expected that the following members of Congress and others will speak at the rally, including: Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.) and Reps. Christopher H. Smith (R-N.J.), W. Todd Akin (R-Mo.), Todd Tiahart (R-Kan.), Steve Chabot (R-Ohio), Jim Ryun (R-Kan.), Melissa Hart (R-Pa.), Mike Pence (R-Ind.), Ron Lewis (R-N.Y.), Roscoe Bartlett (R-Md.), Rick Renzi (R-Ariz.), Steve King (R-Iowa), Thaddeus G. McCotter (R-Mich.), Michael C. Burgess (R-Texas), and Patrick J. Toomey (R-Pa.).

The theme of this 31st annual March for Life is: Build Unity on the Life Principles. "We are not suggesting that we merely come together as people of many different characteristics and talents," Gray said. "We are calling for Americans to come together on goals and strategies to overturn Roe vs. Wade, by following the guidance of the Life Principles. This means providing Constitutional protection for the unalienable right to life of each human in existence at fertilization. There is no justification for the state or any individual intentionally to kill an innocent born or preborn human in existence at fertilization. Murder is not a feminist/abortionist's right of 'privacy'."

"Yet, each American must now live side-by-side with the slaughter of an estimated 4,000 preborns each day who are not even buried in mass graves. And, America suffers the massacre of an estimated 42,000,000 preborn humans and their children's children due to Roe vs. Wade. Feminists/abortionists cover up this horror of innocent blood as if abortion were "respectable." Nevertheless, it is still the responsibility of our federal government to provide for the general welfare and stop the intentional killing of even one innocent born or preborn human in our country. No exception! No compromise!" said Gray.
