Bill Thomas (R-Calif.) will unveil his health policy agenda for 2004, "Vision for Healthcare," at a briefing on Thursday, Feb. 12 in the Ballroom of the National Press Club at 8:30 a.m. Rep. Thomas is expected to discuss newly enacted Medicare legislation, including the creation of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and prospects for creating new healthcare initiatives, such as tax credits and tax deductions, to help ease the problem of the uninsured. Chairman Thomas is one of the most influential members of Congress in shaping healthcare legislation, and Thursday's briefing is his first public discussion of healthcare issues in 2004. WHO: Rep.
