
Research Findings: Partnering for 'Dead-Broke Dads' Benefits Moms, Fragile Families, Communities 5/7/2003
From: Dr. Jeffrey Johnson of the National Center for Strategic Nonprofit Planning and Community Leadership, 202-822-6725 News Advisory: The National Center for Strategic Nonprofit Planning and Community Leadership (NPCL) will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. tomorrow, May 8 at NPCL headquarters, 2000 L Street, NW, Suite 815, to announce initial findings of its Partnership for Fragile Families (PFF) demonstration project. PFF partners government agencies and community-based organizations in an effort to provide support, education, and job training to young, low-income fathers. As key pieces of legislation, including TANF and WIA, come before Congress for reauthorization, this briefing will present relevant PFF research, followed by potential implications for communities, fatherhood practitioners, social workers and government agencies.
