Since its founding in 1913, the Anti-Defamation League has worked to combat bigotry, bias, and discrimination, and to secure the rights and liberties of all citizens of the United States. The Anti-Defamation League pursues its mission through educational programs, bias and hate-crime training for law enforcement, and research on hate, extremist, and terrorist groups that it shares with law enforcement and the public. "We are excited to have Ms. Blumberg on board and to have an active voice on civil rights, separation of church and state, education, and public safety issues in the Capitol," stated Jonathan Bernstein, Central Pacific Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League. "There are critical pieces of legislation being debated, such as protections for a worker's right to a workplace free of harassment, increased legal rights for same sex couples, and bias and discrimination prevention training for public school teachers. We look forward to more actively participating in these policy debates with a local representative in Sacramento," added Bernstein. The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry. | |
