Pew Hispanic Center Report on Latino Labor Force for Release Tuesday, October 7

The Pew Hispanic Center will release a report Tuesday, October 7, 2003 that presents important new findings on the impact of the 2001 recession and its continuing aftermath. The report examines a variety of trends in employment, unemployment and wage rates for both Hispanics and non-Hispanics and explores outcomes by industry, occupation, geographic region, age, nativity and education.

The report will be released at Noon EDT on Tuesday, October 7 with a telephone press briefing by the report's author, Rakesh Kochhar, a senior research associate at the Pew Hispanic Center and Roberto Suro, the Center's director.
