WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 -- Following are the latest developments from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency:

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD EXTENDED BY 30 DAYS ON DRAFT EXPOSURE AND HUMAN HEALTH EVALUATION OF AIRBORNE POLLUTION FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENTER DISASTER

EPA is extending the public comment period for the draft Exposure and Human Health Evaluation of Airborne Pollution from the World Trade Center Disaster (EPA report number EPA/600/P-2/002A dated October 2002). This document was prepared by the National Center for Environmental Assessment (NCEA) within EPA's Office of Research and Development. The original 60-day comment period ended on Feb. 25, 2003, and a 30-day extension will be announced in a Federal Register notice to be published the week of March 3, 2003.
