Kent Kresa, John Hamre Join PSC National Advisory Board

WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 -- The Private Sector Council (PSC) is pleased to announce Kent Kresa and John Hamre as the newest members of its National Advisory Board, a body of distinguished leaders from business and public service who advance PSC's mission to improve federal management and encourage support for the organization among business and government leaders.

Kresa is chairman and chief executive officer of Northrop Grumman Corporation, a leading defense and information technology company. Having spent over 25 years as a leader in the private sector, Kresa began his career in government service at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and has continued his commitment to strengthening the government's ability to serve the American people. In recognition of his contributions to improving the business of government, he received PSC's Private Sector Leadership Award in 2001.

Dr. Hamre is president and chief executive officer of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a nonpartisan policy research organization based in Washington. He is a former deputy secretary and under secretary of defense with more than 25 years of experience in government management and oversight and policy research. During his tenure at the Department of Defense, he was credited with increasing computer security and bringing better business practices to the department.
