WHAT: With one week to go before federal and local races are decided around the country, the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies is hosting a press conference to release its 2002 National Opinion Poll findings on politics. The only national poll that consistently surveys equal numbers of African Americans and the general population, it compares their views on political leaders, important national issues, and political ideology. The briefing will also include a lively discussion of voter priorities in the upcoming elections and expected voter turnout.
