Energy Department to Host Renewable Technology Forum/Demo at Dirksen Building

On Wednesday, May 5 the Department of Energy (DOE) and its National Renewable Energy Laboratory will highlight the emergence of technologies and advances in research as it hosts a forum to explore the current state of public/private renewable energy partnerships. Acting DOE Undersecretary David Garman will provide keynote remarks.

Topics to be addressed include "Strengthening the Rural Economy through Renewable Energy," "The Changing Built Environment," "New Choices for Electricity Customers," and "Reducing our Dependence on Foreign Oil."

It is through partnerships of the research community and businesses that consumers will begin to realize the economic and security benefits of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies.
