On Wednesday, Jan. 23, Sarah V. Hart, director of the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) will deliver opening remarks to attendees at the School Safety: Technologies, Research, and Emerging Concepts Conference 2002. NIJ is the research and technology development arm of the U.S. Department of Justice. The conference will be held from Jan. 23-25, 2002 and will focus on school safety issues, including current research, the feasibility of commercial technologies, and approaches being applied in schools today.
