NOAA PROVIDES MAPS OF ALASKA AIR FLIGHT 261 CRASH AREA

WHAT: NOAA has a wide variety of maps available on the agency's National Ocean Service Web site, which includes surface, underwater, and habitat maps.

Map products include:
—water depth map
—substrate (sea bottom type) map
—3-D sea bottom topography map
—Anacapa Island habitat maps

WHEN: In response to numerous requests, a series of maps and images for general distribution have been developed at the Santa Barbara office of NOAA's Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary.
