Could you use a good news story every workday about the latest in agricultural science—in Spanish? The Agricultural Research Service can provide you with solid news items in Spanish every day about research results across the whole range of agriculture-related science, from human nutrition and animal health to invasive species and protecting the environment.

Since February 1999, ARS has offered a free Spanish-language daily news service, El Servicio Noticiero. Now ARS has launched a new web site to display its Spanish-language news stories. The Spanish web site, athttp://www.ars.usda.gov/is/espanol, offers:

  • An archive of more than 250 news stories in Spanish,
  • A search engine to find specific stories within the archive,
  • Links to Spanish-speaking ARS media contacts,
  • Information about subscribing to the Spanish-language news service by e-mail, and
  • Ciencia Para Niños, a web site of more than 40 stories and features in Spanish, geared to children age 8 to 13.
