Perimeter Institute public events continue this fall
Lectures by Simon Singh and Clifford Will
Following Canada's successful EinsteinFest celebrations at Perimeter Institute – with attendance topping 28,000 – public and scientific events continue.
Public Lectures include:
Simon Singh – British author, journalist and TV producer speaking about "The Big Bang". This lecture will take place on Wednesday, November 2nd, at 7:00 p.m. in Waterloo, Ontario
Clifford Will, Washington University, speaking to audiences across Canada on the topic "Was Einstein Right?" This coast to coast lecture series continues through November and is presented by Perimeter Institute in association with the Canadian Association of Physicists.
Scientific events continue and, though not open to the public, include:
- "Cosmological Frontiers in Fundamental Physics" – October 24 to 28, 2005. This event, for scientists only, is presented by Perimeter Institute and Laboratoire AstroParticule et Cosmologie (Paris).
- "Quantum Materials Program Meeting" - November 17-20, 2005.
- "Workshop on Emergence of Spacetime" – November 18-20, 2005. This workshop is part of the Frontiers of Fundamental Physics series of conferences.
