IODP team to announce expedition findings
VICTORIA -- On October 31, 2005, the media is invited to tour the JOIDES Resolution, the research vessel for the recent Cascadia Margins Gas Hydrates Expedition 311, supported by the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP). The expedition's preliminary findings will be released that day. Co-chief scientist Michael Riedel of Natural Resources Canada will be available for interviews. IODP Canada and JOI Alliance staff will also be available as information sources. Canadian participation in IODP is facilitated by the Canadian Consortium for Ocean Drilling.
Due to port security restrictions, please indicate your interest and the number of media personnel attending this event by October 20 to Jon Corsiglia (see contact information below).
