9th Annual Public Forum at AACR Annual Meeting
WHAT:
"Progress and New Hope in the Fight Against Cancer: A Public Forum Highlighting the Latest Discoveries." A Public Forum sponsored by the AACR – the world's leading organization dedicated to the cure and prevention of cancer – provides a unique opportunity for Southern California cancer patients, survivors and their families to learn about emerging cancer research in everyday terms.
10:00am-12:15pm – Hear experts in the oncology field describe the latest progress in cancer detection, treatment and prevention. Survivors will share their personal perspectives about cancer, cancer research and patient advocacy.
12:30pm-2:00pm – Meet prominent cancer scientists during "Ask the Expert" sessions.
12:00pm-2:00pm – Visit exhibits run by local and national organizations to get information about support programs, patient advocacy and survivor networking opportunities.
Meet leaders in cancer research, ask questions and discuss innovative science with the experts.
