National Academies advisory: Oct. 12 release of report on US prosperity in global economy
A National Academies committee has laid out a comprehensive strategy of specific actions that federal policy-makers should take to create high-quality jobs and focus new scientific and technical efforts on meeting the nation's energy needs in the 21st century. The committee's congressionally requested report, RISING ABOVE THE GATHERING STORM: ENERGIZING AND EMPLOYING AMERICA FOR A BRIGHTER ECONOMIC FUTURE, will be released at a one-hour public briefing on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
