Mining and energy ministers to meet
ST. ANDREWS -- On September 19 and 20, 2005, federal, provincial and territorial ministers will gather for the 2005 Energy and Mines Ministers' Conference. The conference, which is the 62nd annual meeting of its kind, will be co-chaired by New Brunswick Ministers Keith Ashfield, Minister of Natural Resources, and R. Bruce Fitch, Minister of Energy, and Deputy Minister Richard Fadden, on behalf of the Minister of Natural Resources Canada.
The theme for this year's mines meeting is "The Viability of Mining Communities." The energy meeting will focus on energy awareness and energy efficiency.
