Communicating science through print and radio

WASHINGTON -- As part of a lecture series on communicating about science, the Marian Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences will hold a program on conveying science through print and radio with Joe Palca, science correspondent for National Public Radio. The program will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20.

Palca will discuss techniques for conveying complex and sometimes controversial scientific issues in print and radio journalism. Admission is $5 and includes light refreshments. The museum is located at the corner of 6th and E streets, N.W., in Washington, D.C. -- one block from the MCI Center and the National Building Museum, three blocks from the National Mall, and one block from the Gallery Place and Judiciary Square Metrorail stations, serviced by the red, yellow, and green lines.
