National Academies advisory: Jan. 27 Science through Film

Join award-winning science and adventure producer DAVID CLARK as he leads a discussion on filmmaking in extreme environments. Participants will learn about producing underwater documentaries, how advanced equipment such as submersibles are used to capture images, and the challenges and benefits of working in the deep ocean. Clark will also show selected segments from his productions, which have appeared on the Discovery and National Geographic channels and in IMAX theaters.
