German-American Frontiers of Science Meeting

June 3-5 German-American Frontiers of Science Meeting in Irvine, Calif.

This annual symposium, sponsored by the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation brings together outstanding young scientists from the United States and Germany to interact and discuss their research. This year's topics include endosymbiosis and evolution; protein folding; seafloor hydrothermal systems; smart antibiotics; ultrafastphenomena with light pulses; and the origin of biodiversity.
