National Academies advisory: Sept. 19 meeting on wind energy projects

Congress recently asked the National Academies' National Research Council to study the environmental impact of wind-energy projects, focusing on the mid-Atlantic region. The study committee, which will focus on how policy-makers should decide where to place windmills, will hold its first meeting next week.
